Dr Mobbs specialises in cognitive and behavioural disorders, including:

  • Short and long term memory loss

  • Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias

  • Early onset dementia

  • Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders

  • Behavioural and psychiatric disturbance due to neurological disease

  • General neurological disorders such as stroke, migraine and epilepsy

Qualifications

  • MBBS PhD FRACP (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians)

  • Bachelor of Medical Sciences (first class honours)

  • Member of the Australia and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN)

Dr Mobbs has trained at several Centres of expertise, including:

  • Royal Adelaide Hospital

  • Brain and Mind Centre (Affiliated with Royal Prince Alfred Hospital)

  • Woolcock Institute of Medical Research (WIMR)

  • Hanson Institute

Dr Rowena Mobbs has jointly conducted leading research in the field of degenerative changes after spinal cord injury and chronic spinal cord compression, twice being awarded the Spine Society of Australia Research Award.
